Finca Andalucía is located in Ataco, Ahuachapán. Was established as a coffee plantation since the 1940’s. There are many factors which influence its particular cup and grain characteristics, some of which are its excellent altitude, its abundant water springs, its dark volcanic soil, and it’s cool and fresh subtropical climate.
Finca Andalucía is owned and operated by Lima y Hermanos, a family ran and operated business. Most of the property is planted with coffee varieties like Bourbon, and Pacamara, among others that are still undergoing testing. Production process is managed in a traditional way; coffee is grown under just the right amount of shade trees, especially those from the Inga family. The many other varieties of shade trees planted in the farm, makes of Andalucía a heavily and diversely tree planted property, not to mention that it is a very eco-friendly property. Andaluci´a has been certified, as an organic- rainforest plantation. Andalucía has been, for many years, treated and maintained as an organic plantation, rid of any chemical substances or fertilizers. The farm conserves a natural rain forest, which is hundreds of years old and which serves as habitat for innumerable animal species.
